Personal Best Education has been providing expert educational, sports and leisure services to the public since 2012. THE POSITION

This exciting and diverse role is required to support the Personal Best’s operations and delivery department.

 

Þ    To supervise, support and mentor staff members and young people during delivery

Þ    To lead supervise and manage any concerns; escalating if required, in line with Personal Best policies and procedures and delivery framework of programme

Þ    Be aware of all planning and logistics of each group based at your venue 

Þ    Liaise with staff members and Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure young people’s wellbeing is supported during delivery.

Þ    To communicate effectively with senior staff, staff members and venue staff to ensure a smooth running of the programme

Þ    Ensure all sites comply with health & safety measures

Þ    Participate regular meetings with staff members to achieve aims, objectives and outcomes

SKILLS AND EXPERINCE

Þ    Strong understanding and some experience of safeguarding

Þ    Experience of risk assessment and handling confidential information

Þ    Experience working with one or more of: children/young people/local communities/charitable causes

Þ    Strong organisational and time-management skills

Þ    Ability to work well under pressure

Þ    Ability to lead a team

Þ    Confident interpersonal and communication skills

Þ    Able to motivate and encourage people to overcome any boundaries

Þ    Understanding of working with diverse community groups

Þ    Be a positive representative of the NCS programme

 

ATTRIBUTES AND KNOWLEDGE

Þ    Passion for working with children/young people and interested in supporting their personal development

Þ    Flexible and adaptable approach

Þ    Knowledge of Personal Best Education

Þ    First Aid certificate (Desirable)

Þ    Qualification in, working towards, one or more of the following: - early years/play work/youth work/teaching/coaching or subject related to young people

Option 1

Wave 1: 4th July to 15th July 2022

Wave 3: 18th July to 29th July 2022

Wave 5: 1st July to 12th August2022


Option 2

Wave 2: 11th July to 22nd July 2022

Wave 4: 25th July to 5th August 2022

Wave 6: 8th August to 19th August

 

A wave duration is 2 weeks (Each programme excludes weekend work).

 

Week 1: Residential

Week 2: None residential within local community

It is compulsory that all candidates are available for the full duration of each wave throughout the project.  

 

Please note

Team leaders are encouraged to complete 6 weeks of the programme, however committing to a single or couple of waves is available.
